Terms of Service
Last updated October 14, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and Northcraft Co. ("Northcraft", "we", "us") for using Markcraft and buying logos from it. By buying a logo you agree to them. Please read them, along with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, which are part of this agreement.
1. Who we are
Markcraft is made by Northcraft Co., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Email: hello@northcraft.company. Mail: [mailing address to be added before launch]. We answer within 2 business days.
2. What Markcraft does
Markcraft draws logo options from what you type, using our own design engine. The engine runs in your web browser. You can preview options and change their colours, font, layout and symbol for free.
Markcraft logos are made from a fixed library of shapes, icons, fonts and colours. Other businesses may get logos that share a symbol, font or colours with yours. We never sell the exact same logo, for the same business name, to two buyers.
3. Who can buy
To buy, you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission and have them complete the purchase.
If you buy for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
4. Previews
Previews are only for choosing a logo. You may not use a preview, a screenshot of one, or a copy or tracing of one as a logo or in any product without buying it.
We may change, add or remove designs in the engine at any time. A logo you saw but didn't buy may not appear again.
5. Buying and payment
Logo pack: $29.00 CAD. Logo pack + brand kit: $59.00 CAD. Sales tax for your province or country is added and shown on the payment page before you pay.
It's one payment. Nothing renews, and we never charge you again without a new purchase.
Payments are handled by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe is the reseller and merchant of record for the transaction: it charges you, collects sales tax and sends your receipt, and its own terms for buyers also apply. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
Before you pay, the checkout page shows the logo, what's included and the total before tax. You can change or cancel your order at any point before you pay.
If a price is shown wrongly because of an obvious error, we'll tell you and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Delivery
Your files are delivered right after payment as a download on your order page. We also email you a private link to that page, a receipt and a copy of these terms.
Keep the link private: anyone who has it can download your logo and make changes to it.
7. All sales are final
Because you see and can change your exact logo before paying, and the files are delivered instantly, all sales are final. The exceptions are in our Refund Policy.
8. Who owns the logo
When your payment is complete, we assign to you all rights we hold in the logo you bought, including any copyright, and we waive any moral rights we may have in it. You can use, change and register it however you like, worldwide, forever.
Logos made by software may not be protected by copyright everywhere. We don't promise that copyright exists in your logo, only that whatever rights we have are yours.
The fonts are from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows commercial use. The font files themselves stay under that licence.
If you get a refund under the Refund Policy, the rights return to us and you must stop using the logo.
9. Trademarks are your responsibility
We don't search trademarks and we don't promise your logo or business name can be registered or doesn't conflict with someone else's.
Before you register a trademark or invest heavily in your brand, search the Canadian Trademarks Database (or the database where you operate) or ask a trademark agent.
10. What you can't do
Don't use Markcraft to make logos for names that copy or imitate another business or brand, or that are hateful, threatening or illegal.
Don't copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the design engine, or use it to make logos without buying them.
We can refuse or cancel an order that breaks these rules. If we cancel a paid order for this reason, we'll refund it.
11. Changes after you buy
From your order page you can change your logo's colours and font and download the files again, free.
We'll keep this working for as long as we run Markcraft. If we ever shut it down, we'll email you at least 30 days before so you can download your latest files.
12. Our promise and its limits
We promise the files you get match the logo shown at checkout and open in common software (SVG and PNG viewers, web browsers and PDF readers).
Apart from that and any rights you have by law, Markcraft is provided as is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for anything related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we're not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other consumer laws that can't be waived.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one you agreed to at checkout, which we email to you. Changes never apply to past orders without your agreement.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
If something goes wrong, email us first; most problems are fixed fastest that way. You keep your right to go to the courts of Ontario or wherever consumer law lets you, and nothing here makes you use arbitration or gives up a class action.
